FOLEY IS GOOD

At some point I will "post" about the Foley is Good line from above but for now I want to relay some happenings in my life a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if I have previously mentioned it but Mick Foley is my favorite wrestler of all time, I have seen his work from his beginning days in WCW up to the present. Sadly the only time I actually got to see Mick wrestle was at a race track in upstate New York (for those of You thinking...hmmmm Albany...NO MORE NORTH...MORE NORTH). I believe this was while he was in between his first and second WCW stints, anyway I didn't know enough about him at the time to truly appreciate him, so my loss. Now on to the present, a few weeks ago my big big BOSS (female) was at a baseball game with a colleague (female), and who should be sitting two rows in front of them but Mick Foley. Well the colleague knew who he was and somehow some way they began a conversation with Mick, leading to Him eventually sitting with them. The story was relayed to various co-workers within my office and this led to my big big BOSS finding out I was a huge Foley fan. The following week the big big BOSS visited our local offices and with minimal teasing handed me a signed Foley picture. Well I was floored, I had always wanted Foley's autograph and now I had it because of a chance meeting between two other people. As if that wasn't enough I was speaking to a co-worker later that day and she comes up to me and hands me her cell phone and I just knew it was Him. I SPOKE TO MICK FOLEY ON THE PHONE, I felt awkward, I had no idea what to say, I felt like I was bothering him because he was in the middle of working out but he was extremely courteous and thanked me for being a fan and I thanked him for every wrestling memory that he gave me. So all in all....I had a nice day.

If for some odd reason my big big BOSS were to read this, thank you very much, you will never know how much all of that meant to me...NOW GIVE ME A RAISE!

Thoughts

First off, let me just mention that the "Influential Five" post I promised twelve years ago will be happening soon, I'm just trying to bring myself to add Hogan to the list. Mind you, I know he belongs there I just can't bring myself to write:

1) Hulk Hogan

Then follow it up with any sort of coherent babbling that justifies his place at Number 1, again, mind you, I understand he belongs there but I have a very difficult time in remembering the Hogan of yore, the Wrestlemania III Hogan. Instead I'm reminded of WrestleMania IX Hogan or the commercial when he and Shawn Michaels wrestled and I had to watch HBK do the J O B. Anywho, I digress.

I was talking to a friend of mine who enjoys the wrestling as much as I do, lets call him Mr. M, he shall be my wrestling insider source. Well we were talking about WrestleMania and how poor the show is looking as a whole, this got me thinking that they are going to do something spectacular. They know it looks like a weak line-up and don't really want to piss off all the people who paid 204380923840928348234802340234234.99 to purchase the PPV. A month ago I would have said the two World title matches are going to suck the ass for the simple reason of I felt it was a guaranteed win for HHH and Randy Orton, now I'm not so sure. I will state it now for all those concerned I am a Triple H fan, call me a mark, call me what you will I like the guy. I've liked the guy since the whole Helmsely Era schtick they had a billion years ago, now with the other title match I assumed that it was Orton's time. This is his one month out of the year that He's not injured so give him the title, but for some strange and odd reason I feel "Lil' Rey Rey" is going to pick up the win and the Title.

Now I had this strange feeling about the McMahon and HBK feud for awhile now, I couldn't understand why...just why. Why have a match between the two when nothing can come of it, either Shawn whups his ass solid or The Evil One cheats and gets the win, either way nothing too exciting. I know Bret has been denying any sort of appearance at WM, but I can't think of anything other reason to have a Vince/HBK feud, I truly expect Bret to interfere in this match and the most intriguing is who will he side with. Those are my thoughts for now, join us next time when I try to determine why in the bloody hell my favorite story line right now is Trish and Mickie James.....all I can think of is Mickie grabbing Trish by the hair and screaming DO YOU LOVE ME NOW...good stuff....good stuff
